Chili Update

The Sun is working its magic and we have a bumper crop of chili peppers by the kitchen window already.

I grew six of these plants from a chili pod given to me by one of the waiting staff at Soho’s best (and probably only) Hungarian restaurant, the Gay Hussar. So far we have had over twenty fruit from the plants, which have done much better than the rubbish Scotch Bonnets I planted around the same time. The chilis grow to about four inches and are medium hot, so two or three will do for most dishes.

Looking to the future I have just planted out five more Wahacca chilis, so with a fair wind we will have plenty of the little blighters to see us through the year.
